Winter in London poses a lot of problems for bloggers. Unlike the eternally sunny weather that bloggers in LA, Sydney (noting that it’s summer there as well) and the rest of the European Continent enjoy, London bloggers must battle the bitter cold, the ever so moody weather (it doesn’t help that the Met weather forecast rarely gets it right) and the diminishing natural light during the day. In order to get decent photographs, Londoners realistically have until 3 pm to shoot. This window of time is shortened by sporadic showers which could turn into downpours and relentless winds. But when everything aligns itself, shooting in London could be magical.
These photographs were taken on such an occasion when Ron and I were just about to give up (yet again). The weather just wasn’t holding up and we were about to loose the light, when the clouds cleared, the wind turned into a light breeze and the sunset illuminated the surroundings with golden shimmers. We literally had just a few minutes before the sun set behind the buildings but those few minutes were simply incredible.
