Our busy lifestyle means that we are constantly on the move. Although the mode of transportation to get from point A to point B is different, I think travelling time is quite personal as we use it to relax and to find some time for ourselves. Personally, I use this time to cancel out the world by putting on my headphones, selecting a mix on my iTunes and escaping into my thoughts as I aim to reach my destination.
I have never been an over-ear headphones kind of gal mainly because they never seemed to compliment my style and always felt too clunky. If the only substantial contender to focus on style is the infinitely popular headphones brand created by the rapper who shall remain unnamed, it is quite evident that there is not much choice in this market for the fashion conscious. I won’t make myself out to be a guru on sound quality either, but headphones with amazing sound quality and other nifty abilities like noise cancellation and blue tooth seem to lack in style credential. It’s almost as if in the headphones industry, consumers had to pick between quality or style. This need to compromise is probably the main reason I have never really invested in a set of headphones – until I found out about Molami. As a brand designed by women, for women, Molami has grasped this problem I was having with headphones. Women want to wear headphones which are fashionable and compliments their styles without having to compromise on sound quality. Having been designed from a fashion standpoint, each Molami headphone is amazingly sleek without being too overpowering. My favourite is the Pleat headphone which has been designed to accentuate the lines of our faces and is encased in super stylish napa leather. They are ideal for my travels around London and on airplanes as the bass is deep and the noise isolation technology allows me to focus on my music.
The Pleat headphone seems to work with any sort of outfit, but to demonstrate how complimentary it is to our everyday lifestyle, it has been teamed with an all stripe ensemble, courtesy of Scotch & Soda. The wool blend winter coat and joggers are the perfect city attire for anyone on the move. The coat is beautifully tailored with an effortlessly classical style and the joggers are lightweight and extremely comfortable for any active day. A walkable outfit cannot be complete without some stylish loafers, like these zebra print ones from Dune London.
