A mini weekend trip to the Cotswold turned into a blissful country escape. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but the honeycomb coloured towns lined with antique shops and cottage cafes reminded me of old England. If you have a chance to roam around the Cotswold, definitely pay a visit to the beautiful town of Chipping Camden. I don’t think I’ve ever come across such a friendly and homely place before with stunning gardens manicured to perfection. There’s also a friendly wool merchant selling Cotswold wool and calf skin at the Market Hall who you should definitely pay a visit. He’s probably the best sales man I’ve ever encountered. I’ve got a new Cotswold wool rug next to the couch as a reminder of this weekend.
I have to say Prada makes one of the most comfortable shoes. Not having thought at all about what’s acceptable for hiking, I ventured on a mini uphill walk to the top of Dovers Hill (the site of the original English Olympic Games) with my Prada sandals. I’m now confident to say, they are the best walking shoes ever. As long as you can manoeuvre around nettle leaves, these sandals are ideal for walking in natural terrains. After a 30 minute walk, reaching Dovers Hill was just such a treat. On a sunny day, the views over the Vale of Evesham and chilling out with some sheep for a bit are a perfect way to spend the afternoon.
On a completely different note, I have to apologies for the quality of these photographs. I stupidly forgot my camera so these were taken using some nifty phone features!
