(Asos shirt, Pole paisley skirt, Vintage belt, Yves Saint Laurent vintage clutch, Christian Louboutin courts, Christian Dior sunglasses)
I’ve started to notice a pattern. As London becomes sunnier, I become busier at work. I would have thought the reverse would be the normal pattern, but I guess everyone’s franticly trying to get stuff done to maximise their time outside. So this good (but a little annoying) pattern has proven to be a massive challenge with finding the time for other fun things like scouting out new favourite London spots and hunting for vintage gems. But I guess when I do get to venture out of work, life seems that much more special.
These photographs were taken by the lovely and talented Laila Baba on an afterwork meet up. I always try to style my daywear so that it can be translated quite easily into ‘evening-wear’. And I suppose this is an example of such an outfit. I absolutely love this Pole paisley skirt which I’ve had for a million years. It’s so light and airy that it’s perfect for sunny days and for running around at work. I think the transformation was complete with a little help from Laila’s amazing vintage accessories.
