London Fashion Week SS16
Lights, camera, action! London Fashion Week is one of my most anticipated weeks in September when the glittery fashion pack ascend upon the streets of London. This year, BFC decided to change the main stage venue from the pristine white backdrop of Somerset House to the gritty and raw Brewer Street Car Park. If I am honest, I preferred the former to the latter, but the change of scene definitely brought some further excitement to LFW. With photographers and bystanders spilling onto the streets of Soho, it seemed many brands decided to stage their shows and presentations not at the car park, but at their carefully picked locations. With venues scattered throughout London, logistically, this posed an added element of strategic planning, but all in all, it allowed brands to be more creative in presenting their collections and the WOW factor definitely returned to many catwalk shows and presentations.
A LFW round up story will follow (stay tuned!) but I wanted to share my initial thoughts on this season’s London Fashion Week. These images were taken as I frantically tried to pin point my Uber driver at Piccadilly Circus to whisk me away to the next show.
