There’s a perpetual battle against the elements in London. Contrary to popular belief, it isn’t as rainy as non-Londoners believe, but it’s definitely a gamble every morning. Putting an outfit together is like going on a blind date. You really don’t know what the day holds so inevitably, you need to prepare for all eventualities. My risk adverse personality always forces me to bring at least a jacket or something to layer up with even if the forecast is sun. Whether to carry an umbrella is such a gamble as well. With a personal motto of lugging around as little as possible, this usually means I end up going all in for ditching the umbrella. On this particular day, it probably wasn’t my best idea. Note to self, stop gambling with the London.
Nevertheless, there’s something to be said about shooting in the rain. Lily and I weren’t really sure if it would even work, but getting completely drenched was totally worth the fight. As the silvery grey weaving glistened against the hazy backdrop, the Aqua dress seemed to be the perfect attire for the setting. It’s also amazingly waterproof and extremely wind resilient. Such genius construction from Aqua.
