Oxford Street crossing always reminds me of the Shibuya crossing in Tokyo. Both are diagonal intersections with a chaotic scramble of pedestrians from all walks of life. Like Shibuya, people watching at Oxford Street gives me a buzz like no other. As a famous landmark and meeting spot, you can play out people’s stories by watching the many interactions that happen in the split second of collision. The behaviour of each dynamic system must be what chaos theory is all about.
These photographs were taken by Khwanchai at Oxford Street during a little spell of sunshine. Khawanchai’s exploration of abstract light, space and colour is evident in these incredible photos. He was the perfect companion to capture my love of this season’s precision whites.
