Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had an amazing countdown and new years’ day! Looking back at 2014, I could not have asked for a better year and I am full of gratitude for all your warm support. Thank you. Nothing would have been possible without you. I never have been one to believe in New Year’s resolutions, but I cannot see the harm in making goals that makes me a strive further, so for this year, my main resolution is to work on creating interesting and unique content on Silk and Suits.
With my New Year’s resolution firmly in mind, I could not have asked for a better way to start 2015 than with this new post featuring Vivetta, an Italian contemporary brand launched in 2009 with a super feminine yet quirky vibe. Vivetta is a creative label ideal for us girls who love our Barbie dolls and all things poetic and characters originating in princess stories and fables. You might have pictured Harajuku girls decked out in pastel and glitter face art from my description, but far from this, the Vivetta girl is a girl who also loves the dark side of our favourite fairy tales and is a surrealist, eternally embracing the styles from the sixties and seventies. A look through Vivetta’s collections is nostalgic and full of romantic hints of our girlie fantasies. Vivetta is famous for its embroidery work and its pop collars, but I have to give them a whole lot of love for their contemporary silhouettes and ever creative patters. Vivetta is definitely high on my list of favourite brands and I cannot wait for the new SS 2015 collection to land in stores! For more on Vivetta and to check out their new collection click here!
