BOODLES | PAS DE DEUX
I am finally able to fulfil my long awaited promise for a Part Deux to my Boodles Story. I cannot believe what was meant to be a short interval to my second part of this story has now become long overdue. To pick up from where I left off, Part Deux of my Boodles Story is about my third look which I shot with Boodles – monochrome masculinity.
Inspired by and in collaboration with The Royal Ballet, the kite shape diamond pieces from the Pas De Deux collection are diverse with an unique design encompassing the elegance and flair of ballet. With such exciting and dramatic designs to work with, it was absolutely crucial that my third look lived up to these exquisite works of art. As stunning fine jewellery pieces for any black tie affair, I decided my third look should be a little edgier than a ball gown. This is why this incredibly chic Balmain two piece suit seemed to be the perfect match which complimented the jewellery.
Behind the Scenes
As I was adorned and literally draped in diamonds, it suddenly dawned on us that I was wearing some priceless one of a kind pieces. We therefore thought it would be best to stay within the premises of The Savoy to shoot this look. I always get nervous about shooting indoors with lighting issues adding a further level of challenges. As we walked around The Savoy scouting for locations, we came across the most beautiful mirrored hall lit beautifully with floor to ceiling windows. Luckily, it was completely empty and no further events were being held in there for the day. It was simply the best location we could have stumbled across and we quickly got to work playing around with the windows and the mirrors. I cannot be more satisfied with the results of these images and how we decided to shoot in black and white.
I hope you have enjoyed reading about my Boodles Pas de Deux experience and a huge thank you to Boodles for making this shoot possible.
