Day III of LC:M was insanely busy. But between shows and presentations, I had a bit of down time to wonder around Savile Row and the Royal Opera House. I’m actually quite ashamed that I’ve been living in London all these years and didn’t know that you can simply walk in and explore the ROH during day time. I’ve only enjoyed the Amphitheatre during intermissions for the opera and ballet and always wished I had more time to spend in the spacious environment. So I felt like I had just won the lottery when a friendly security guard said I could wander the premises freely. It was quite surreal cruising around with barely a person in sight and spotting a ballerina on her way to rehearsals. As I sat at the terrace and took in the view of the Piazza below, I felt like I had warped to some Mediterranean city. The brief pit stop at the ROH was just what I needed to recharge my energy for the afternoon.
